Ordering Information

A minimum order of 4 trays (total, not per specie) is required.

If you are a customer in Wisconsin or the surrounding border states and
would like to request an exception, please contact Betty Bless, Vice President of Operations, at bettyb@prairienursery.com, or 800 476-9453 ext 241.

PICK-UP ORDERS

If you wish to pick up your order at the nursery, we require 7 working days advance notice to prepare your order. All Pick-Up Orders require pre-payment by credit/debit card only. There is a 5.5% WI and county sales tax charge on pick-up orders, but no shipping charges. At the time you place your order, please indicate your preferred pick-up date. For web orders you may do so in Special Instructions.

Please Note: If you DO NOT pick-up your seed or plant order within five working days after the specified pick-up date, the plants will be returned to inventory and you will be charged a 20% Cancellation and Restocking Fee.

RESELLERS

Wisconsin residents will be charged 5% State Sales Tax, plus applicable 0.5% Sales Tax and/or Stadium Tax. The sales tax on your order will be calculated automatically, based upon the zip code to which your order is being shipped. All shipping charges are subject to State and County Sales Taxes.

If you re-sell plants or seeds purchased from American Natives, please provide us with a copy of your WI Resale Certificate with your first order to avoid being charged sales tax. Sales tax will be applied to your order until we have your Resale Certificate on file. Government agencies and tax-exempt organizations must provide a tax-exempt certificate. Instructions follow.

Wisconsin resellers or Tax Exempt Organizations, click here to get your Wisconsin Sales and Use Tax Exemption Certificate form, print this document out and follow these instructions:

  1. On the top of the form, check either Single or Continuous. If you plan to purchase from American Natives again in the future, check Continuous.
  2. Write in a description of the type of business you are in that would require you to purchase items from American Natives.
  3. Write in a description of the types of items you will be purchasing from American Natives. It is fine to simply write products for resale.
  4. IMPORTANT: Write in your Resale number, from your sellers permit. We cannot refund sales tax without this number.
  5. You are done! You do not have to check off any of the boxes in any other sections.
  6. Sign and date at the bottom of the second page, and fax it to us at 608-296-2741. Thank you!

DELIVERY

Prairie Nursery will ship your order as quickly as possible. Please allow up to 7 working days for processing. Orders placed in April and May, may take up to 10 working days to process and ship. We can expedite your order with 3 Day Select, 2nd Day or Next Day Air Delivery. Please contact Customer Service for details.

U.S. Shipments
PLANTS are shipped via UPS. SEEDS are shipped via UPS or US Postal Service.

New York City residents
To ensure timely delivery, we recommend that all plant shipments to New York City use 2nd Day Air UPS Delivery. Please contact Customer Service for shipping rates and details. Sorry, we do not ship plants outside of the continental U.S.

TERMS

Orders are accepted on a credit/debit card basis only. Prairie Nursery will not charge your card until your order is shipped. Sorry, personal checks, money orders and C.O.D orders cannot be accepted.

If you order a species that is unavailable or sold out, we will gladly refund your money.

Credit
Credit is available to established commercial accounts only. Please contact Customer Service for a credit application and allow up to 2 weeks for processing. An interest charge of 1.5% per month (18% per year) is applied to accounts unpaid after 30 days from the date of shipment.

Reserving Orders
For the best availability, reserve your order early. To reserve your plants and seeds for a later shipment, please provide your credit/debit card, or submit a government purchase order. Credit/debit card reserved orders are charged at the time of shipment.


ORDER CANCELLATIONS

To cancel a Plant Order, we must receive notification at least 7 working days prior to the scheduled ship date. If your order has been processed, but not shipped, your cancelled order is subject to a 20% Cancellation and Restocking Fee. Sorry, No Exceptions.

Shipped Plant Orders Cannot Be Returned.
